J. Hilary Rockett, Jr.
President
Hilary has been actively involved in real estate development for over 25 years. Throughout his career, he has consistently focused on value-added projects that benefit the communities in which they exist.
A recent example of his commitment is Brunswick Station in Brunswick, Maine. JHR Development took a 5-acre Brownfield site and transformed it into a mixed-use, multi-modal destination. A stop on the Amtrak Downeaster line, Brunswick Station is adjacent to Bowdoin College and is home to 40,000 square feet of modernly equipped space housing medical, office, retail, and restaurant uses, and the Brunswick Visitors Center.
Each project in which Hilary has been involved illustrates his belief that integrating redevelopment into the community requires inclusiveness. Consequently, he makes it a priority to build relationships and hear the voices of neighborhood groups, town officials, town planners, historic commissions, and others.
Hilary is well versed in all aspects of the redevelopment process, including conservation issues, specialized financing, and complex permitting requirements. His extensive experience and uncompromising work ethic have led to proven success in residential, hotel, and industrial venues.
Hilary is an Attorney and an active alumnus of Bowdoin College.
